Explore Treasure Island Beach

BEST BEACH FOR: Snorkeling and exploring the various tucked away coves to the north.

Explore Treasure Island Beach

Its name may evoke filthy pirates and hard-to-find riches, but Treasure Island is impeccably clean and incredibly accessible. The beach is managed in a partnership between the city and Montage Resort. The result is pristine sand and excellent facilities.

Toward the southern end of Treasure Island Beach Park, which sits atop the bluffs, you’ll find a ramp that leads down to the sand. This beach is a long one—stretching all the way to Aliso Creek in the south. The further you walk from this main access point, the more space you’ll have to yourself. Heading this direction, the sea floor is sandy, perfect for swimming.

If you walk north, you’ll see a few large rock outcroppings that block the waves. This little protected inlet may just be home to the clearest water in Laguna, making it the city’s preferred snorkeling spot. Head even further, crossing the rocks, and you’ll find Middle Man’s Cove, a hidden beach that’s more easily reached from the south end of Goff Cove

Though it’s not the most pirate-y of all Laguna’s beaches, the “treasure” bit of the name is spot on. With a parking garage on the beach side of Wesley Drive, clean bathrooms, wheelchair ramps, grassy lawns overlooking the ocean, this is definitely a gem for all to savor.
