Royal Hawaiian Celebrates Dads We've Come to Love with Full Menu & Expanded Hours on Father's Day

As Father's Day approaches on June 16th, Royal Hawaiian is celebrating the "dad spirit" that resides in everyone's heart.

Whether you're celebrating a conventional Dad (who will always claim he's unconventional), the "Dad" who's co-raising your dog, or the favorite person who's become like a Dad to you, you know someone worthy of special VIP treatment at Royal Hawaiian Fire Grill.

To celebrate Dads of all kinds, Royal Hawaiian is opening at noon on Father's Day (Sunday. June 16th) with its entire new Summer Menu in play. Reservations can be made online at RoyalHawaiianLB.com/Reservations or by calling (949) 715-1470. The kitchen is open from noon to 9:30 p.m., and we will be serving our Keiki (kids') menu all day as well.

Setting the Tone
Enjoy an expanded line up of super-craft beers, our ever-tantalizing tropical cocktails, and an expansive wine list of options as you peruse an expansive menu of new summer favorites and best-sellers.

Light & Fresh Appetizers
Recent appetizer additions to the Royal Hawaiian Fire Grill include our Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke served with daily-made sweet potato chips, and the Traditional Luau Lomi Lomi Salmon, featuring cured salmon and fresh tomatoes tossed gently with cucumber, micro diced onions and lime juice with a partnered fresh tropical fruit medley.

Luau Style & Mesquite-Grilled Entrées
Then, mosey into our newest entrée selections starting with our biggest best-seller, our new Wild Caught Pacific Sea Bass. First gently mesquite grilled, the Sea Bass is placed on carrot ginger purée with broccolini, okra, organic crunchy red quinoa and fried green tea soba noodle and served with a raw celery root salad with fresh citrus dressing.

The Sea Bass joins already-popular fresh fish entrées such as Seared Ahi Tuna, our Cold Current "Blu" Salmon and our Wood-Roasted Pacific Lobster.

Several meaty additions have found their way to the Royal Hawaiian Summer menu, too, including gorgeous Mesquite Grilled Lamb Chops on potato purée with smoked tomato, broccolini, snap peas and asparagus. The chops are served with fresh tomato basil salad topped with house made chimichurri sauce and a dollop of smoky eggplant purée.

Traditional Hawaiian Kalua Pork has also joined the Aloha summer vibe. Pork shoulder is wrapped in banana leaves and slowly smoked for 4 hours until tender. It's then shredded, tossed with Hawaiian sea salt, soy sauce and ginger and laid on a bed of island-style pineapple fried rice. It's served in a banana leaf blanket with pineapple-bell pepper emulsion sauce.

While the hearty 16-ounce Wood-Grilled Angus Rib Eye Steak has been a best-seller from our opening days, its younger brother, a 10-ounce Teriyaki Angus Rib Eye Steak arrives garnished with pickled onions and Fresno peppers and served with an organic salad of spinach, fennel, mushroom, cherry tomato, mint, basil, and crunchy quinoa gently tossed in a lemon-ginger dressing.

Added steak items from the Ro Hi Fire Grill include a new 14-ounce Angus Top Sirloin Cap Steak, a rare delicacy served with crispy Peewee potatoes, grilled okra, organic baby carrots, smoked tomato, asparagus and criolla salsa. And, the 14-ounce Angus Petite Tender Steak sits atop a bed of spinach with lemon garlic essence, Pewee potatoes, baby carrots, mesquite charred pearl onion and smoked tomato.

This Time, You Can't Skip Dessert
Be sure to try our latest dessert, Island Breeze Lemon Mousse, a sweet and sassy lemon mousse topped with beads of raspberry and passion fruit, cracked sugar lace and scorched diced pineapple. It joins our other house-made desserts, Big Island Chocolate Mousse, Banana-Stuffed Dulce de Leche Crepes, Fire-Grilled Banana Bread with crème fraîche, grilled pineapple, toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream, and Flan in the Sun with whipped cream.

We look forward to seeing you on Father's Day and joining our Ohana family!

ABOUT THE ROYAL HAWAIIAN FIRE GRILL

Truly an iconic "grand dame" since its opening in 1947, the Laguna Beach-based Royal Hawaiian has recently enjoyed a renovation (she prefers we call it her "spa day") with her new owners and operators, internationally renowned chefs, Chef Martin Molteni and Chef Mariano (Maro) Molteni.
The Molteni brothers updated the interior and kitchen and brought back the famed wood grill in a nod to the original "Royal Hawaiian Grill" of the 1960s and 1970s. They reopened Royal Hawaiian Fire Grill on April 3, 2019 with a decadent culinary menu that marries historical Polynesian and global coastal fare through succulent wood-grill cooking of organic meats, fresh-caught fish, local seafood and more.

Experience a warm and breezy blend of the PAST (the original recipe for our famed Lapu Lapu has returned for starters) and of the PRESENT celebrating a masterful, ever-changing menu.

Every day at The Royal Hawaiian feels like vacation as you're invited to enjoy frosty tropical drinks and the freshest organic meats, seafood and fish from our authentic wood-fired grill. Revel in authentic Hawaiian Ahi Poke,  the freshest Hawaiian Sashimi, wood roasted Pacific Local Lobster and Grilled Octopus, and hearty Lamb Chops, Kalua Pork, Rib Eye and more. Our wine list is carefully sourced from California and Argentinian wines, and we have a variety of seasonal craft beers by the bottle or on draft.

It's an award-winning taste treat of the best in global coastal culinary cooking that starts and ends with an always-welcoming "ohana" Polynesian vibe. Welcome to our family.

The Royal Hawaiian Fire Grill is located at 331 N Coast Highway, a half block north of the Laguna Art Museum.
