The Laguna Beach Garden Club

The Non-profit Laguna Beach Garden Club, Inc. was founded in 1928 in beautiful Laguna Beach, CA and celebrated its 91st  anniversary in February.  Its members support a wide variety of projects related to education in gardening, horticulture, landscape and floral design, conservation, ecology and bird life.

We make annual donations to several local public gardens, arboretums and schools (including Top of the World, El Morro and Thurston Middle School). Saddleback College horticultural students and Laguna Beach High School students have benefitted for many years from our scholarship program, and we added a scholarship to LCAD.  The downtown “Pocket Garden” on Forest Avenue was refurbished through the hard work of our members and we are committed to maintain its beauty indefinitely.  We recently replanted the gardens next to the library.  In conjunction with the Beautiful Council, we planted and maintain the Sister Cities Garden in Heisler Park.
We hold monthly meetings on the 2nd Friday during the months of September through May, where we host many presenters on a variety of topics. Meetings are held at Tankersley Hall at the Laguna Beach Presbyterian Church, located at 415 Forest Ave. There is no charge for guests on their first visit.

The annual Gate & Garden Tour is a public viewing of several of the loveliest gardens that Laguna Beach residents have to offer.  The tour is our most important fund-raising event and makes possible all of our environmental projects and scholarships.
As we make our plans for the future, the members of the Laguna Beach Garden Club and its 200+ members remain wholeheartedly committed to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the community we serve.  We are happy that we can make a difference.
We are members of the California Garden Club Inc., which includes membership in the National Garden Clubs Inc.  We are incorporated and have well defined by-laws with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation.
